The main objective of the Intelligent Systems Group is to generate new applicable knowledge on intelligent systems and to generate positive societal impacts by applying this knowledge using scientifically plausible methods and state-of-the-art technology. The group's research covers ubiquitous computing, human-computer interaction, sensor networks, optimization of industrial processes, mobile robotics and cybernetics, human-robot interaction, and security in complex information processing systems. ISG collaborates with a number of research teams in Europe, USA, Canada, Japan, and China.
Intelligent Systems Group is a part of the CSE - Computer Science and Engineering Laboratory (formerly Computer Engineering Laboratory) of the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering at the University of Oulu and a member of Infotech Oulu.
